They’re probably converting everything to ACT scores for admissions purposes, then converting it back for this press release.

ACT says a 770 math is equivalent to a 35. But then when they translate the other way, they call a 35 math a 780.

780 seems harder to achieve than 35.

That said, their transparency in how they consider test scores is appreciated.

Good for the 35 ACT kids (AO won’t know if they got 35 or 36)

Not as good for the 34 ACT kids (AO can won’t know if they got a 33)

It does. As does 35/36 ACT.
