I would not. My boyfriends ex wife texts him all the time for things that are not even related to their kids. The other day she called him and told him that she was stressed at work. I talk to him about it already. I don't mind them talking, but I feel like she is doing it on purpose.

If you don't want to discuss anything but the kids don't end the conversation you've got to go. But it seems like it would be in your interest to stay cordial with her for your kids too.

Did she cross a line? If the subject was all kid stuff and logistics, no she didn’t. Doesn’t matter how long the call was.

You being annoyed about the length of the call is a different topic. If you prefer text messages or something else for these kid and logistic communications, push for that. Personally I’d prefer a 45 min call over 45 text messages. Hopefully you find a way to communicate with her about the kids that doesn’t annoy you - just think about it as being a good dad and getting it done. What her new BF thinks is none of your business.

Actually there's nothing wrong with it.

I have a SN child with exH. We talk several times a week re arrangements for his treatment mainly financial aspects, and attend counselor meetings together on zoom.

As a side note - we absolutely can't stand each other and I wish I didn't have to talk to him

If they had kids together, I would hope to not be so insecure and childish that I cared about a guy talking to the mother of his children.

Yesterday ex wife is called me briefly discussed about the kids return to school but Everytime I was going to hand up she brought something else. We ended up speaking on the phone for 45 mins and her doing 95% of the talking.

She is in a serious relationship and I am not sure how her bf will fell if he finds out that his gf spent 45 mins talking to her ex husband.

How do I nicely tell her that she crossed a line? Nothing romantic or sexual was said but I don't it's appropriate for her to be telling about her life because not only I don't care, but it's annoying.
