We contracted with one. She told us that, for anything where she'd have a conflict of interest, another agent from her firm would step in. Did I believe that would help? Not really.
In the end, I don't know if it matters. They are all out to push, push, push you and to sell the house as fast as they can. They don't care if you get the best price or not because even $100K more in a selling price won't increase their payment that much.
I was basically my own real estate agent with regards to strategy and such. I ignored all their advice and ended up selling the house for $130,000 more than that first offer which the agent said I should take.
Not sure why we hire these people.
