It’s not stupid. It means more adults will be at the games. They should have given more notice but it’s very clear you haven’t been at one of the games that led to this policy change. Because it was a total cluster and involved lots of law enforcement.

Were the spectators/stands calm? The crowds at the games in the weeks before were not.

Even if the adults don’t know the kids it increase adult to kid ratios.

There were incidents in previous years (e.g., J-R.). And most recently (as far as I know) there was a stabbing outside a game at Archbishop Carroll. Two teens were stabbed. No idea if they were students of either school.
