Start your own side gig. It may take a while to set it up, mine took just over a year to get going, but I’m going to clear five figures and I only work it about 10 hours a month.

Pet-sitting! I'm in a similar situation and I'm considering this. You can look into Rover (for dogs and cats), Meowtel (cats), or just reach out to people in your neighborhood.

This is what I do; I work 6-10 hours a week in addition to my regular job. Not much, but the checks add up. And it’s a nice break from the responsibilities of my “real” job.

Bake at night, sell baked goods at farmers market on weekends.

Restaurants. Take my job, please. All I do is walk around and make sure everyone is happy.
I walk about 8 miles during the 5-6 hour shift.
I gave my 3-week notice already.
We don't hire host/hostesses based on the looks. They got to be clean, friendly, and fast.

All of the ushers at the theaters/concert venues around me seem to be retired folks.

Babysitting--pays well and can be under the table.

Could look into to home visit services for seniors. To get brief regular home visit services can be quite expensive from the customer standpoint. Not sure how much the service providers get per hour from an agency. Also not sure if there are certification requirements.

Only if you're good looking. Otherwise, do not bother.

I'm preparing to become an "empty nester" as my 2nd child will be going away for college next year.

I work a regular 9-5 job but instead of picking a new hobby or spending hours at the gym I would like to spend my evenings and weekends earning money.

We will have two kids in College at this point as well so I think we can use/save the extra income.

Any leads on a doable 2nd job? Evenings and Weekends.

PS: I'm a female and not interested in driving around all night doing Uber.
