You have second hand information about problems other people’s kids are happening. While the teacher’s actions may be emotionally upsetting to the other students, they don’t pose an imminent physical danger. Since your daughter isn’t bothered by what’s happening, I don’t think you should do anything at this point.

If your daughter gets upset about the teacher’s behavior, becomes a target herself, or is asked to join a complaint against the teacher, then you can reevaluate and determine if you need to take action at that time. In the meantime, I think trying to jump in the middle of something that doesn’t really affect you could make the situation worse for everyone, especially your daughter.

Nothing, unless my daughter was able to more coherently express any actual concerns regarding the teacher.

What would I do? What are my options? I can’t see doing anything about this nor would I want to.

This is second hand information coming from a teen.

That isn’t odd behavior that is harassment.

Nothing. You are getting second hand information.

I would do nothing. Teachers are people. In HS I had a teacher who cried once. She was really upset and cried telling the class. It made a huge impact on me.

Teachers get stressed dealing with other people's evil spawn everyday. Best to not anger her and have that frustration directed at your daughter.

“Crashed out” means get upset.

DD (16) has a teacher who she describes as behaving in unusual ways. For instance, DD says that the teacher “crashed out” in class almost every day when describing her day after getting home from school, frequently over minor things. Then there are more extreme things. One time she ripped up a student’s homework assignment because she felt it was poorly done. Another time she belittled a student with a hearing impairment during a secure. DD doesn’t seem particularly disturbed by all this, but I am. What would you do?
