I'm inspired by this as well. I wonder if in many cases 'inspired' is more of a mindset than a moment or a task or practice at work. I find I can be inspired by something but it fades quickly, but if I try to shift my mindset to finding something inspiration I'm more likely to find it.

Vacations are a great way to get a break from work and also remember why you work.

I've enjoyed going on detail to other offices temporarily, then coming back, but that has pros and cons.

I'm retired but I liked managing and mentoring people, hiring and training them and to watch them succeed and promote, sometimes outside of our organization. When I found it was sick of doing this and losing my patience with new hires, I decided I needed to retire. It was the thing that kept me interested.

Inspired at work? Never even had a decent job. I was able to replace my income by investing just a bit and got the heck out of work force. Now I have all the time in the world to dream of the house I'm going to build in the north.

Going part time so I can do other things, exercise, socialize, raise kids. Keeps my super busy work interesting because I’m not in a routine every day. Meeting new people in my work is fun and I still love the work itself.

Conferences in your field are inspiring. Maybe pick one new thing related yo work to learn and learn it on your own time. Or learn a new hobby outside of work. Setting little goals are work.

I'm ok with meh if it's not too stressful. I've been at the same place for 20 years. The people management is the hardest. I am inspired by going to career fairs, meeting young engineers, having young employees eager to learn and contribute.

I have been with the same company for 15 years. Good company, good pay, meh boss but one I can live with. But I feel like I'm in groundhog day. I feel like I used to get 'inspired' by things I saw or read, or had opportunities to engage with. So I'm looking for inspiration. What inspries you? Or has inspried you recently? I'd love to hear your stories about how you found engagment at work by any means. New job? New project? left for a new field? side gig?
