Look at SAES and Flint Hill. Potomac used to also offer its own test in lieu of SSAT.

Easy Google search will show you the schools that do/dont. You can even look this up on niche. Seems like with the advent of AI schools are bringing back standardized test to level the playing field since everyone uses ChatGPT for essays. At least that’s what I was told by Burke admissions. I was pretty shocked to learn that such a progressive school required the SSAT

Since requirements vary from school to school and some change within the same school from year to year (for example one school we applied to last year was in their first year of requiring tests again) I found it best to just confirm with the admissions office and ask any questions I had.

It depends on the school some schools require the SSAT, some will take SSAT or ISEE, some have their own test, some don’t require any testing. And some Catholics require the HSPT.

You have to check each school’s admissions requirements.

There used to be required test (e.g. SSAT) for admission of private school, pre-pandemic of course. Now when going over school website, don't see any mention of tests other than current transcript and sometimes a writing sample. Are those tests not required any more? In practice, do people really don't submit test scores (I know that for college application, many times test scores are actually expected even when they say it's optional.) Could have asked the admission office directly, but don't want to appear as too ignorant. TIA.
