I agree. My post partum hormones gave me the libido of a teenage boy. DH would breathe on me and I would be ready to jump his bones. I was so annoyed by how adamant he was about waiting for the all clear even though I'd stopped bleeding and felt fine fairly quickly.

I was pregnant 6 weeks after my second c section. Oops. All was fine though.

As I've aged and had more children I realize that my fertility and hormones absolutely do not play by the rules. Lupron and BC did not stop my body from ovulating.

My husband's Mom was pregnant at her 8 week check up and him & his brother at 10 months apart after a C section. To be fair, most physicians don't actually think it's possible. So I don't know that they warn this enough. [/quote
A resident asked me within hours of birth what my contraception plan was....I was 38 with PCOS and needed 4 rounds of iui just to get pregnant. When I pushed back he said I should have at least 18 months between my kids....

Fortunately my actual ob understood age.

I’ve never bled the whole 6 weeks. I’ve also been very fortunate to have easy recoveries. I wasn’t interested in having sex before 6 weeks, but I guess my recoveries were easy enough that I can imagine it. Do not recommend, of course!

I got my period 6 weeks post partum after a C-section that left a very bad isthmocele. It was the only pregnancy of 3 where I did not have PPD.

I was no longer bleeding at my 6 week check up, but no way could I have gotten pregnant. I couldn't have sex pain-free until closer to 6 months post partum.

At my 7 week postpartum appointment I didn't even get the all clear for sex, was certainly not ovulating. First kid I bled 2 months, 2nd was shorter

Being pregnant again at your 6 week checkup is a huge no no! Please don’t consider this.

I didn’t bleed for the full six weeks with either child.

Heal faster?

Are there women who have a shorter postpartum or they are powering thru everything just like the rest of moms post-birth?
