Where can one try these on in person?

If you can’t find them anywhere nearby to try on, you can order from Zappos. Easy returns, lots of styles to choose from. Re sizing, I’m a US 5.5/6 and a EU 35/36, and I’m a Blundstone AU 3. One thing to know is that the .5 sizes relate to width, not length. So a 3.5 is not longer than a 3, it is wider. I’d say my feet are medium/wide and I tried the 3.5 and they are too wide for me.

One other tip, I’d probably stay away from the high top version, as tempting as they might be. They are very hard to put on and especially, take off.

I can’t recommend Blundstones highly enough, they are my absolute go to for fall, winter and spring.

Not OP but also someone who travels frequently to the UK. These are gorgeous! Thank you for the recommendation.

I just bought what you're looking for at Comfort One Shoes. I can't seem to find it online but the brand is something like Für Leingalen. The bottom of the sole says Extra Light.
I too have Doc Martens that I stopped wearing because they're so heavy. These new ones are much lighter.

I just wear a pair of hiking boots in winter weather as they do the best job keeping feet dry. Both places you mention are wet in the winter. These are very feet shape dependent so I'd go to an REI or similar and try some on. You can find some in more muted colors.

Blundstones are lightweight and similar in spirit to Docs.

What’s a good boot that I can wear from Fall-Spring in mud, rain, snow, sleet. The whole gamut.

I have two pair of Docs I owned for the last five + years that I’ve tried on and they are simply heavier now than I ever remember them being before. I have lost 120lbs as well and my feet may be smaller now and causing this. I’m not exactly sure.

I travel between the States and England frequently and like to pack a pair of boots during these seasons.
