Too young.

If you invite 1-2 friends who you’re sure would enjoy it, since the group may need an adult walking with the kids at that age. I wouldn’t do it for a larger group at that age.

For real? They decline the invite.
My 7 year old was nowhere close to meeting height and weight requirements to zip line so I think you are too early.

We did a 7 yo birthday party on the smaller climbing structure for smaller kids at Sandy Spring Adventure Park. It went really well. There were some scared kids, but the girls cheered each other on and were super supportive of each other. It was really nice to see them be so kind to each other when waaaay up in the air such that parents couldn't help or coach. All the girls did things they were proud of doing and overcame fears. It was a very warm and fuzzy experience that helped bond that group of girls for years going forward.

At least at the places I've ziplined, I doubt many of the 7 year olds would meet the minimum weight and/or height requirements. A party at a cool playground would give them a lot more to do.

I think it’s too young, unless you expect all the parents to stay

My eight year old went to a party like this last year. Most of the kids were into it, but mine wasn't (she's fairly timid), and had a bad time. Not the end of the world, though, and I think she was the only one.

Is there a height limit for the zip line? Or a weight limit? There are zip lines I know of where even my (petite) 11 year old is not either tall or heavy enough to meet the minimums.

Fine as long as you announce that on the invite and provide an out in case a kid gets scared.

Maybe a climbing wall party? You can't really do that drop off either and I'd more it small to under 10 kids.

You could go to Fun Land in Chantilly. Those who want to do the zip line can. You have to go through part of the the challenge course to get to it. Many kids that age are afraid of heights.
There are other attractions games if they don't want to do the zip line.

Would you consider this an appropriate activity for a group of 7-year olds or is it better to wait till they are older? Trying to plan ahead for DC’s next birthday.
