My car was totaled last month and I received a pittance for it. Both dh and I are laid off feds so buying a new car right now isn’t happening until one of us gets a new job. In the interim we are going to rent a car through enterprise as needed. This leads to the issue of insurance. I am aware that there are non driver policies but they don’t cover the car you’re driving, just liability. I am going to speak to our insurance agent but I’m fairly certain they won’t allow us to just keep our regular insurance now that our only car on it has been totaled. Has anyone bought insurance for between cars? What did you use?
