If you go to school in a different state than you live, which cutoff is used? Home address or school address?

It especially sucks for kids who live in a city bordering a different state with lower cutoffs. If you live just inside California along its border with Nevada, your community probably isn’t that different from the neighboring city across the border, where the cutoff is 10 point lower.

I'm the PP. I agree with this also, but I think they did not want NMSQT to include only kids from wealthier/more resourced areas so that's why they did that. As for why they weigh R/W double, I have no idea why they made that decision. I want to say it was because boys were scoring better in math, by my DD scored higher in math.

Yup. I told my DS, aim for cracking the PSAT and scoring 100% - so at least they will be commended. You have to proceed with the assumption that roadblacks can always been put for Asian-American males.

223 is a historic high cutoff. So bummed for my kid, who has a 222.

The official announcement date is September 10 which is in line with previous years. Some people just find out earlier because they are home schooled or their schools tell them.

It looks like a lot of state thresholds are unexpectedly bumping up. Nervous times for many I’m sure.
