We are local CES, so there is pretty much no need of transition. If it is bused to new CES, it is expected and I fully understand why kids are more tired and stressed due to busing (wake up early/,get home late), new school, new environment and just everything new etc.

Is this at CCES? One of the 4th grade teachers is known for being mean.

My DC loved it at CES a few years back. Loved all the teachers, he was happy from the start. He was at Chevy Chase.

I asked my new to CES 4th grader what was different and she shrugged and said not much other than switching teachers. I really think it depends on the kid. Of course they haven’t done too much so far and haven’t received any graded work back that I know of so I’m just waiting to see how that goes…

My 4th grader is struggling at her new CES. Seems to be stressed about new expectations, but also says her teacher is mean. Very tired at end of each school day. Just wondering if other CES 4th graders are going thru these bumps in the road too. Thanks!
