Either way you go, you don't filter hot water. Why would you want to? You shouldn't be drinking hot water from the tap anyway. 120ºF hot water sitting in you water heater tank is a breading ground for bacteria and nasty stuff.


Thanks for the feedback, and good point about the hot water. I was thinking about the convenience and didn’t really think about the sanitary aspect.

I am looking into getting rid of our water pitcher filter and investing in an under sink filtration system. Ideally I would like to get both hot and cold filtered water.
I have been researching some model and it seems some are loud while the filter container is filling up. Others have very slow water pressure ...

Do you have any recommendations for a system that you have been happy with?
