I grew up in Florida and I'm never going back (my parents moved away after I went to college). Don't get me wrong there was always some Florida crazy, but it's just gone totally over the top insane.

This particular topic enrages me more than any other. Because the stupidity of it could affect any of us and are children. These childhood diseases will come back and impact babies not old enough to be vaccinated yet and older people. It's seriously F-ed up. The hubris and stupidity is astounding.

Yes, they are both stupid and crazy. Perhaps Disney World can add "PlagueLand" to its attractions. I really feel for all the innocent kids whose parents are stupid who will die of polio and measles, and particularly for the medically fragile who are unable to get vaccinated.

Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, the Florida surgeon general, made the announcement on Wednesday alongside Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican. Mr. DeSantis rose to national prominence during the coronavirus pandemic, and over time he has espoused increasingly anti-vaccine views.

“Who am I to tell you what your child should put in their body?” Dr. Ladapo, a vocal denigrator of vaccines, said to applause during an event on Wednesday in Valrico, Fla., near Tampa. “Your body is a gift from God.”

He added that the administration would be “working to end” all vaccine mandates. “Every last one of them is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery,” Dr. Ladapo said.

I just read that the state of Florida may be eliminating all mandated vaccines including those for children. I guess you can't legislate eliminating stupidity in government.
