Let people play through. That way they aren't anywhere near you. When o play golf, there shouldn't be anyone not in the game watching me

Yea I guess that’s just it.

Maybe they feel more emboldened in what they consider a male space.

Agree. Golf, bowling, & softball are popular with some men because they can be performed with a belly full of beer.

2 of the times yes.

I wasn’t close enough to the situation to defend myself and they jumped in. One of the situations was my son. The other situations were complete strangers because when you golf and there’s only two of you, you’re gonna be paired up with two more people and most likely it’s gonna be men.

From your original post

four aggressive disrespectful interactions with men on the golf course. Everyone of the interactions, there was a man there to witness it who came back at the rude man

So, at least four men who "came back." You seem unhinged.

I haven’t played golf in a bunch of years but two years ago I took lessons and practiced, and I’m good enough to play golf with most people. Not scratch golfers just most people.

I only play the nine hole golf courses because I lack time but also I don’t wanna necessarily slow people down because I can only drive the ball 150-200 yard yards. On a long course that’s maybe gonna slow people down.

Recently, I’ve had four aggressive disrespectful interactions with men on the golf course. Everyone of the interactions, there was a man there to witness it who came back at the rude man extremely aggressively.

I’m no shrinking wallflower so I can stand up for myself, but sometimes the behavior is something I don’t even understand, but the men with me are like that would never happen if I were golfing with men.

One example is just a guy heckling me while I was trying to tee off. The man who I was with, I didn’t even know because we were just paired up, went off on the guy.

Another example is a guy who was with the group behind us hit his T shot before I hit my T-shot. My group had already hit off the men’s t’s and I was hitting off the women’s ts. The guy with me picked up his ball and threw it in the water.

I mean, obviously I found men who do not act this way and are very supportive.

But what is up with men on golf courses?

And I’m talking about nine hole executive golf courses most of the time, only one of them was 18 holes.
