It’s tough to buy made in America clothes. I buy rag and bone Jeans because they’re made in America. They have teen sizes and some items in kids. Also New Balance is made in America. I buy sneakers there.

I spend a few hundred between both kids. I don’t think you need a huge quantity of clothes, but if you can afford it it is a nice luxury to buy cute stuff.

It's about what is in your budget and what is reasonable for a growing child and how careful they are with their clothes. It may be $200 with clothes all from Old Navy or $800 with clothes from JCrew.

We always did five outfits for fall/winter and five outfits for summer/spring.

Don't forget special occasion shoes!

I think it depends a lot on
1) still in kid sizes or moved into adult sizes
2) are you including shoes/sneakers/boots
3) any special occasion attire
4) are you including outerwear

$500 for a kid still in kid sizes and not including footwear or coats would be very high.

$500 for a kid wearing adult clothes and adult shoes who needs casual shoes, sneakers, boots, formal shoes, winter coat, special occasion outfit, etc is actually very low.

$500 seems high unless it includes boots and special occasions. I would shoot for $250 and see how it goes.

Consider if she needs anything formal (holidays, recital, etc). Those tend to cost more, but also be readily available used because they don't get much wear and tear.

Depends how old she is and what style she likes.

I like basics from Old Navy and then a few nicer things elsewhere. Don't forget winter boots if she needs them. I do Lands End for those, wait for a sale.

$500 is reasonable. Then add $150 for parka/snow pants for winter.

We have been the lucky recipient of nice-enough cousins’ hand me downs for years. I’d always add a couple things here and there but not much. There were a TON of pieces so we always had plenty of variety. But my daughter is aging out of hand me downs and I’d like to buy her a new wardrobe with clothes we pick out ourselves for fall and winter… but not sure how much my target budget should be. I’m used to having 30+ choices for tops, pants, dresses, pj’s
etc and I’m sure we don’t need that many, but what’s a good target? I’m thinking some cheaper brands for basics and some mid-range (like mini Boden) for some dresses, cardigans etc. What’s a reasonable target budget for a brand new seasonal wardrobe? $500?
