Montgomery County requires you to make your past year of utility bills available to potential buyers of your house, so Pepco and Washington Gas have made older bills easy to access on their websites.

camelcamelcamel tracks Amazon price history. It's pretty helpful for figuring out whether a sale or discount is a deal but it could also be used to track inflation on individual items.

Thank you. That’s a great idea.

A have a couple of paper takeout menus in a drawer from before Covid. Inflation is insane.
Seriously, I don’t have a suggestion - it’s an interesting question.

I have a rotten memory and have no idea what I pay for eggs or other goods or services.
I can use Google and have a Wall Street Journal subscription.
Say I want to follow some rough consumer price indicators that change at least weekly. Ideally daily.
I don’t want to use gold-related indicators. It seems as if gold indicators measure fear more than consumer price changes.
Are there any ETFs, commodity indexes, exchange rate indexes, etc. that are especially good real-time or near real-time consumer price indicators?
I’m especially interested in ETFs, investment indexes or other indicators that typically show up with charts, so I don’t have to look up the comparable figures from the past.
