We worked with Mainstreet and found them helpful for our goals of consolidating accounts, clarifying goals, and forced us to be accountable to a third party in terms of setting up wills , trusts etc.

In our case they had specific funds and ETFs they recommended for our portfolio— mostly Vanguard. They did not seem that knowledgeable about tax implications or specific investments outside their preferred funds/ETFs. The para collecting our data seemed kind of clueless.

They focus a lot on daily budgeting and money management, etc.

This is our experience only. I can see them being especially helpful for someone starting out or with debt problems.

We felt it was money well spent for the most part, but a c suite executive probably has other needs. My opinion only.

Would love to hear others’ experiences with them.

Find one with the equity compensation and tax focus. Look for CFPs that have CPA and EA designations. It's very niche space and you wanan find someone who knows what they are doing. Not sure about your preferences, but I'd personally not go with an all-male team.

I haven’t worked with them but I love their podcast, they’re local, and I’d reach out to them if I wanted an advisor.

+1 I use an advisor from this company and would definitely recommend them. They *can* manage money for you but they don't push anything, it's just an option.

I have friends who works with her. A solo advisor firm that’s very tax-centric.

Looking for a fee-only financial advisor, ideally someone with experience helping new c-suite professionals navigate equity-heavy comp, tax planning, etc.

Would love a firm in the DC area but also open to virtual.

Not looking to have them manage assets and totally fine with an annual retainer.

Any recs?
