Subject: Robberies spike in D.C. Friday, Saturday despite anti-crime surge
Umm perceived crime vs actual crime
Were people talking about come because seeing a lot of black youth or unhouse people making them feel unsafe even though they were just existing?
Or were people being assaulted (actually assaulted) not just someone bumping into you on a crowded street?
Or is that the brown and black people inside? Because they fear roving checks.
Your child is born and raised in a diverse community w different looking people from different socio economic backgrounds? They are born and raised on the Hill?
Tell me more about how on a warm night a white mom now feels safe to walk alone at 10 pm.

Some types of crime probably will go down a little but for an insane taxpayer price tag and only for a short period of time.
If you want to reduce crime, this is a very bad strategy in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness. Itâs just a stunt.
I want to know how much it costs to have the national guard spread mulch. $435 hammer indeed.

I have heard (and experienced) the same. This is how DC should always be, and it boggles the mind that 1) it took the National Guard and 2) Democrats are loudly complaining that the status quo was fine with them. Unreal.
DC should not always be crawling with national guard. Ask yourself why Trump wonât do things that matter like fully staff the AUSA office

Tourists and visitors are already in the well patrolled areas overall, pre surge. Doesn't help that much when the surge people are hiding out in these same areas..
