Yes, pretty expensive for diner food. It’s still a diner.

It’s more expensive than it should be, but at the same time I love it there. The cakes and pies are so good.

That’s like justifying a $50 burger because the bun was really big. It’s bread…

The French toast is huge though, its not like 2 pieces of wonder bread. I would say, overall, the serving sizes are huge there. And without tip it was probably closer to $25? I feel like for that big of a meal it is pretty normal.

Simply looking at the menu it shouldn't have cost nearly that much. But I had a similar experience a few years ago where I ordered an egg white and cheese bagel and it was crazy pricy, far more than what I expected.

Hadn’t been to this place in a while. The food was fine except for the prefab iced tea (from a syrup or fountain). Definitely had sticker shock:

2 pieces of French toast
1 egg
Home Fries
Iced tea

$34 (with tax and tip)


Totally not worth it
