The lead guide has a BA in religious studies and a M.Div in biblical theology, both from Regent University. Best I can tell, he's never taught kids. Info on the other guide is harder to find beyond is school bio that says he's worked on the finance industry and taught at a "classical Christian school."
Yeah, that totally makes me want to fork over $45k a year for an "AI driven" education. Opening it seems very rushed to me. It looks like the company that owns these Alpha Schools swooped in and took over several former Guidepost Montessori locations and is hastily trying to get them up and running without much advance work.
At least in my city, $45k nearly double than what our top independent schools charge for K-3. Those are very established schools with great track records and deep community roots. And some outfit out of Texas thinks they're going to have any success change obscene amounts of money for a garbage education? In a part of town that the people with the means to spend $45k a year on school won't go to? Lol, yeah, okay. I give it 2 years, max, before they have to close due to very low enrollment.
I think you are referring to the Charlotte location and yes very puzzling why they think they would think that location would succeed vs putting it south of town. Although maybe they didn't want to compete with/be compared to the more established schools in South Charlotte.
