My kid has to maintain 2.0 gpa to keep his merit aid. Thank God, because as an engineering major, it would have been gone by now.

DC has 3 scholarships. Two are 2.0/12 and one is 3.2/12.

Especially if there's a high GPA requirement, consider this: for your's kid's major, the college knows the historic GPA distribution for the major, and for the prerequisites required to get into the major. You don't.

My kid can't go below 3.2.

I don't remember for sure, but think it was a 3.2

^also, I’ve seen ones where the minimum required credits might not graduate you in 4 years, but the scholarship is still only for 4 years.

I’ve frequently seen 3.0 at 12 credits, but I’ve also seen a 2.5 (I don’t recall if/what credit requirements were for that one).

It varies, you just need to confirm your specific one.
