OP, most of the clubs post the offers and alternates by tryout number online. Did you check that site? If you haven't heard by now, he may be an alternate and will have to see what acceptances the club gets first.

He said it went ok, but no yes or no was given and I personally left confused. Did he miss the decision? Should I take this as a “Thanks for coming to try out, the answer is no, bye now?” Should I follow up with the coach? What is the usual process?
