They could explain the communications platforms and what we’re supposed to use. There’s been umpteen years posts on this forum asking about Parent Square and the parent square app and no explanation of that platform at all and whether we need to download yet another McPS app

We still have a landline so get surround sound with multiple incoming calls on cell phones as well as home. My favorite are the emails with a link to a statement somewhere else - they look like spam and no I'm not going to navigate somewhere else to read a welcome back message from the principal.

The communication is emblematic of much of what is wrong with MCPS - massive, redundant, bureaucratic, and ineffective.

We were told we needed to get Parent Square, and that’s where the relevant information like teacher assignments came. But now I am getting every stinking BOE email across three platforms!!! Text, email and parent square. Plus those robo calls….

Yes. The school is pretty good about sending an email that has relevant inbro but the county sends an endless stream of PR crap. And remind has made it worse.

For important stuffs like boundary study and regional program, you couldn’t even find the survey link on their website. All these are deliberately designed to hide the real things happening in the background.

Already so many emails and texts from the Board, the school, plus the Connect Eds on Sunday nights. Now I just got some pointless robo- call about congratulating my 5th grader. Ugh. Unsubscribe.
