She submitted mortgage applications on two properties within two weeks of each other in 2021, claiming both of them as her primary residence. The documents are public—this seems to be fairly obvious mortgage fraud. A criminal referral has already been sent to the DOJ, and a Democratic former US Attorney has said she is likely to be charged and convicted.
This follows similar criminal referrals for mortgage fraud by Leticia James and Adam Schiff. What is going on here? How many more of these are going to come out?

It asks whether the home is a primary residence, second home, or investment property, but it doesn’t have definition for any of those. It seems like a person that is splitting their time between two places more or less evenly could have two primary residences, or at least could honestly believe they do since the forms don’t provide any definition.

Are you claiming that applying for mortgages on two properties, more or less simultaneously—and claiming both as your primary residence—is not mortgage fraud?
MAGAs told me it’s not fraud unless you don’t pay back the loan and the bank loses money.
