The head counselor at Blair sent an email yesterday about the process/timeline for requesting schedule changes for different reasons- did you get that?

This happens to many students, just wait for the counselor to fix it.

How long should students wait?

Anonymous wrote:Yes, Blair is block schedule so odd and even days, except for period 6 and 9 (magnet and CAP only) which are every day for 45 min (or whatever a normal class length is for an 8 period day). They communicate every week what days are even/odd in many different ways, including social media (I find the Blair SGA IG account super helpful for tracking the weekly schedule https://www.instagram.com/mbhssga?igsh=MXBpcmJqbXQxNGJybA== )

Oh, I see — thank you! That instagram page makes it much clearer.

To clarify — only magnet and CAP have a period 9, everyone has a period 6.

Also looking at the daily schedule rather than the semester view (you’d have to choose an actual school day though so it might not work until next week) makes it a lot more clear which periods are happening on a particular day.

Not at Blair, but seeing those same numbers in parentheses. It seems the 99 is for homeroom, the 3 is for weighted classes, and the 0 is for unweighted classes. We don't have any with a 2.

My DD, who is a freshman at Blair in the CAP program, just got her class schedule. We are having trouble interpreting it. There are numbers in parentheses in between period number and class name (e.g. 2, 3, 0, 99) — what do they mean? Does Blair have odd and even days? If yes, how do they work? Sorry for my ignorance.
