References to 4th grade could refer to data from the NAEP test which is a national assessment.

Other than very big picture sense of trends in the district, there is just not much you can do with the information 6 months after the fact. Like the idea that it factors into teacher assessment -- how is that possible when it bleeds so far into the next year?

It would be great to have scores earlier but the information is still useful for schools. Schools received embargoed scores a couple of weeks ago. While the scores canโ€™t be shared publicly they were received with some time for planning just as many educators were coming back from summer break.

If you are a parent can you please bring this up to your schoolโ€™s superintendent and your council person?

Oh wow.

To be more specific, there's usually an overview or summary type documents or PowerPoint with talking points and positive spin. There's also a huge OSSE spreadsheet with much more detailed information that comes out later. And the schools get their aggregate scores and then their individual students' scores and then give them to parents as they see fit, sometimes at parent-teacher conference.

Do you mean the OSSE spreadsheets for all schools, or do you mean scores for each kid given to parents? Either way, not yet.
