It is actually very easy once you get the app. Also there is no team score reporting that you have to do like with ncsl. The ref does it all. You or your coach can check the kids in. It sounds like a lot but it isn’t.
Also you should have been carded as a tm for ncsl too.

Logged in. There was this whole long process involving using an app to set the roster for the game ahead of time. Then, at the game, you have to take your phone to the referee, and "check each player in" individually in the app. The referee has to sign your phone and scan a QR code. If the referee can't get the code to work, then you have to send in all the game information over the app (score at half time, score at end, yelllow cards, red cards etc). If the team admin isn't there, the coach has to do it. You have to be "carded" to use the app.

It is way more hassle than I was expecting. We did not do this at all for NCSL last year. Had a paper roster & cards in my bag in case we needed it. That's it.

Do people actually do this for every game? It seemed nuts to me.
yes. It’s really easy and many coaches actually do the game day work. We never had any problems and the refs knew what to do.

No, I have never seen a parent team manager do it. OR a parent team manager ever in ECNL

Our team ECNL team has a team manager and did game check-ins via the app. The coach can also do it, so the team manager doesn't always have to do it. Plus the refs do most of the work for check in anyways. You just have to make sure the roster for the game is accurate
