We got polished because it was sooo pretty, and then I read everyone’s complaints online. Alas. About to be installed. I’ll just have to treat the smudges as a lesson in embracing imperfection.

I have the Brizo touch on/off faucet and it is amazing. Definitely do not get separate hot or cold— so inconvenient! Touch on/off is so convenient. Brizo isn’t cheap (ours was $700ish but probably more now) but so worth it since it’s so heavily used.

Agree with a major brand. We have the Kohler Simplice pull down in our kitchen. Our hose sprung a leak which our plumber told us is common after a number of years. He told us to contact Kohler to get a free replacement. They sent out a new hose and sprayer head free of charge. Always send in the warranty card.

Almost 15 years after installation, my Kohler faucet in the kitchen started leaking at the sprayer hose and in the most-used bathroom with a shower/tub, the diverter had worn out and the faucet leaked when using the shower. Because of the warranty, Kohler sent us replacement parts for both, and they were super easy and nice about it.

After some research we got the California Faucet Decanso, low spout, pull down, one control knob (agree with poster above that it's more practical), chrome.

I would skip the soap dispenser, you don't need to cut up your counter for that.

This is good advice.

We just replaced an Amazon Moen with a Rohl, and the difference in feel is significant.

Just get a Delta or Moen. Not particularly fancy but reasonably priced, loved by plumbers for their ease of installation, and supposedly excellent to great customer service in case you need replacement parts.

I have the separate hot/cold/sprayer set up in my apartment, and integrated pull-down, sprayer faucets in my vacation home . . . I have a strong preference for the latter. It's just much more convenient, even if it doesn't look as pretty.

As for finishes, we have polished nickel and I wouldn't change that, but brass can be lovely. It really depends on your design choices.

I would skip the soap dispenser.

Renovation has me picking plumbing and kitchen faucets are doing me in. Separate hot and cold with sprayer. One handed lever with builtin in spray? Antique brass. Stainless steel? Builtin soap dispenser?

Please help by giving me your best recommendations. Or what to steer clear from.
