Yes, this is happening to my kid this year, and to a lesser degree to me.

I totally flare up unless I swab the area with fresh aloe. Completely itch free after that.

My kid’s bites this summer flare up a lot more than in previous summers. It’s now become routine for us to need to give him benadryl cream and zyrtec at his doctor’s advice. We didn’t have to do this before.

yes have noticed same. got chewed up this weekend (through deet and long sleeves/pants) and they are not going away even with prescription cortisone cream

As soon as you get a mosquito bite and it starts to itch touch it with something that is as hot as you can stand, like the back of a metal spoon that has been in boiling water.

I find that to be the most effective way to get the itch to permanently go away.

+1 just noticing it from bites from this weekend that are lingering. They are usually fading and less itchy by the next morning.

My husband just found out he had Lyme disease. He is in superior shape for a 69 year old guy. He weighs the exact amount he did when I met him in college. He works out twice a day. The Lyme disease has attacked his muscles and has caused a lot of pain. It started with a rash, so you might want to check it out with your Dr.

(I recognized my husband's symptoms from reading about Justin Timberlake who had the same symptoms).

I have always been a mosquito magnet. I cannot sit out on my front porch for more than two minutes before they show up, trying to gain access to my ankles and arms, and the tops of my feet. So yes, I do try to typically use bug spray which I hate. This summer however I feel like every mosquito bite I get is more itchy and intense than any summer prior and the the itchy, dark raised bumps seem to last for at least a week. Is there a new strain of mosquito in the Washington DC area that is responsible? Does anyone else feel like the mosquito bites they're getting this particular summer have been worse than in past summers? That first frost can't come soon enough.
