How many hours of work total did you do? Like 50 hours over the last 2 years? Or hundreds of hours? If it's genuinely not a significant number, I wouldn't list it.

I put Freelance Attorney with the date range as the title and then had one bullet under the title saying I performed freelance legal research and brief writing in xyz subjects for solo practitioners and small law firms and then a second bullet that listed all of the law firms that I assisted.

Did you maintain malpractice insurance and bar status? If so then lost yourself as a solo attorney. If not, then as a consultant.

I need to update my resume. I am an attorney but I have been staying home with my kids for a little while. I have taken on a few projects during this time (mostly brief-writing to help a friend / former co worker) but it isn't consistent work.

How would you list that on a resume? It isn't a full time job, but it is not nothing. I think I should include it to demonstrate that I have not been totally out of the practice of law. Any advice is appreciated.
