Yeah this thing is shocking, it grew like 15 feet this year alone.

It’s a gorgeous tree, but it will grow huge. Make sure the space is appropriate for its mature size.

Keep it! We loved ours, but it died after our neighbor’s oaks came down, which made the soil too wet for our tree.

Have a large volunteer, but it’s in a good spot for screening. Deciding whether to cut it down and save the rhododendron it’s outcompeting.
