My kid was bused to a different high school to attend a special program, because there are only two, one for upcounty, one for downcounty. If we had moved to the other catchment area, I'm not sure what would have happened, but he would still have been eligible to attend one of them.

I got an address verification letter each year DS was at Blair. At the time, we were renters and I had to bring in a lease.
My kid was in a special program and we were never asked this Does MCPS just harass renters?
They can probably verify home ownership via online, but they can't as easily with renters.

The local high school is no longer a local high school based on the new home location. Will the kid be allowed to continue the special program in the old local high school or the kid has to switch to new local high school and look for any available programs in the new local HS?
I would think the student should be allowed to file a COSA to stay at the original school to complete the program they had started.
