I bet there is mold at a majority of the high schools. They just don’t want to know so they purposefully don’t look for it. And the maintainence teams ( and custodial staff) are all over worked and in charge of too much so it’s not really their fault.

Leaks, mold, mice… all par for the course in FCPS!

We have terrible mold at LBSS. But really it’s not for Reid to fix. There are maintenance people who should handle it.

Reid needs to go. She's an abject failure.
Who would replace her? They had very few applicants the last three times.

Is this an advertisement? Why not just tell us the information. I am not watching the local news right now, sorry News4 or News7 or whatever channel you're from.

I hate watching local news. Can you just tell us the 411.

+1 it is 2025, nobody watches news anymore, especially parents

And, this is a huge problem. We do not necessarily need to watch local tv news (though I do) but we very much need a good journalism source about local issues. Kind of sad that we get news from DCUM.

It seems that this is the only place to find school related news. It's like it gets to local news after it comes here. There is something seriously wrong with that.

When news media posts here to watch at 5:30, they know it, too.

Reid is astoundingly incompetent.

How can they justify spending over $150M on King Abdullah Academy if they have unremediated mold issues at their current schools?

Everything is not about KAA. I bet it doesn't have an extreme mold problem.

Robinson, Centreville, and Westfield had the most trailers among FCPS high schools last year.

Trailers have the worst mold issues.

Were you aware that trailers are designed to be temporary? They have short lifespan of just a few years.

Most in FCPS are far beyond their safe lifespans. And FULL of black mold.
