If willing to travel to Arlington, Swim Farm is a very strong developmental program. I highly recommend.

+1 for Tollefson - they're not cheap, but are excellent at technique coaching, especially for young kids. Our summer coach works at Tollefson FT and she's great.

Try Tollefson swimming too- they have developmental programs that run out of the St Albans school.

NCap at AU is crowded and the instructors are college kids just fyi

Hello! We are very new to the swimming world. I would like to get my 5 year old into a developmental program when she turns 6. I see ASA and NCAP have them in DC. Any other teams for me to research? She loves swimming. She is learning freestyle, breathing and backstroke from a teenager swimmer this summer. She can tread water and sorta dive. We will plan on having her join our pool’s summer swim team next summer but would love to start learning about local developmental programs. We live in Petworth so looking for something in DC or close in Montgomery or PGC. Thanks!
