It's a McColonial/McFederal/McMansion, nothing to see here but a confused standard big box build.

The money it would cost to build anything tastefully or skillfully crafted would be cost-prohibitive, as in the builder wouldn't profit, and the buyer couldn't afford it.

That is the problem with this area and new builds is that land is too expensive, and labor and materials are too expensive.

No, mega homes not going out of style. They appeal to recent immigrant nouveau rich and that’s not changing anytime soon. There will always be demand in metro areas for such construction, and more particularly large homes in new communities.
