That’s not true. The White House historical association could speak up, but they just endorsed his changes. Its head is a GOP, I used to work with him.

The fact that he was able to do this without pushback tells me anyone with an ounce of power and influence really doesn’t care. We have people in power who can stop stupid decisions but they don’t care about the country and its history. As long as they get what they need and have the funds to leave when the poop really hits the fan, he can pour gold plating over the entire White House and the Capitol, and no one would stop him.
