If you leave a car at most Metrorail lots for 24 hours, it usually will be towed before you return. They often clear the whole lot (by towing) during the overnight.

The metro basically drops you off in Parking Garage 1

OP here. Thanks for the info, everyone. Sounds like parking should be fine. I hate taking Uber. I'll need to do it in the destination city because they have no metro equivalent, and yes, my company will pay for it. But I've been in many Ubers with some combination of dangerous driving, sick driver, and/or shady driver, and I try to avoid it when I can. Same with cabs.

Take a cab directly to and from the airport.

This. My last business trip I wanted to fly out of Dulles (I live nearby) but the company insisted I fly out of DCA because of the "cheaper" airfare. You better believe they paid for those two long Uber rides.

I'm not sure about EFC specifically, but you can check parking availability each day on the WMATA website to see if the lot fills up.

It does fill up, not sure of the time because I go at 7am, I am able to get a spot then.

OP here. My question was whether the lot ever fills up by late morning on a weekday in August. I am clear on the policies, which allow me to park for 24 hours, which is what I plan to do. Can anyone respond to the question about weekday parking availability?

You should Uber to the station or see if there’s a bus route that will cut down your walk.

I have a work trip coming up and will fly out of Dulles. I live near both Falls Church Metro stations and would prefer metro over driving, but it's too much to walk with my luggage, so I plan to park. My question is whether the EFC station typically fills up by late morning on a weekday in current times. I'll be leaving around 9:30 to 10 AM and will be gone 24 hours. I could just go to WFC since there's always ample parking, but then I need to switch from the orange to silver lines. I'd rather just go to EFC, but not if parking will be a hassle. I don't travel much, so I'm figuring this out.
