Absolutely. I ordered about 5 types and this is my favorite: https://www.yesstyle.com/en/tcuc.USD/coc.US/info.html/pid.1128819058?googtrans=en&utm_source=GoogleAds&utm_campaign=1424525216&utm_term=&utm_content=54082139977_274225508780&utm_medium=Shopping&bac=MIEU1SGQ&mcg=paidsearch&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=1424525216&gbraid=0AAAAAD3WTkmjwnQuRAps7gzLAPEWTvEFx

No white cast, goes on like a thin lotion, lasts well, doesn’t sting or break me out.

Many people like Beauty of Joseon, Skin1004, and other Korean brands but I preferred this one. Order soon because the de minimus tariff exemption starts soon (end of August) and you want to order direct from Korea, like this company or Olive Young, etc.

Also wanted to come back and say don’t be fooled by the low price. It’s great stuff and high quality. They have better filters the FDA hasn’t approved yet. It’s so much better!

I didn't have it while pregnant. But it did start the same year I started taking hormones.

Hormones are a main cause of melasma - that’s why it tends to crop up during pregnancy. OP - there are great youtube videos from dermatologists about how to treat melasma. I’d search for videos from Dr. Shireen Idriss (who had bad melasma during pregnancy herself and ha since created a skincare line that is focused on treating skin discoloration) and Dr. Sam Ellis. Unfortunately, melasma is hard to treat, but there are a lot of topical things you can use. But at a minimum, you’ll need to really up your skincare game.

Azelaic acid has helped me. I get them if I’m on antibiotics and go out into the sun.

I’m OP and I meant to add I’ve upped my sunscreen usage (used to just use 30) and now wear a hat when I can.

Are you sure they are related? You are of an age to get dark spots no matter what.

Anyway, I am very prone to melasma (had it badly during pregnancy, get spots from sun) and HRT has not caused any new ones since I had my hysterectomy and started on it.

My spots have really not gotten any worse since I started using Korean sunscreen, which is much better.

I am 51 and have been getting dark spots since starting HRT a couple years ago. Anyone find a solution to this problem that does not include giving up?
