Wow, I have this exact thing planned!! Who are you and why are you copying my ideas?? I am serving Lebanese appetizers ("heavy apps") and DIY cocktails (I'll have a few mixers out and a few juices).

Know your audience but chick fila will sell you like 100 nuggets on a platter, can mix and match with healthier/fancier options.

You have to have dinner but it can be small bites and self serve.
A wrap platter from Whole Foods or something and then veggies, fruit, cheese etc.

In the summer for women in their 40s, I would cater heavy hors d’oeuvres from a Mediterranean restaurant.
Low sugar and lots of minimally processed food. Prosecco + a signature drink with minimal sugar.
Maybe an indulgent dessert that comes in bite sizes. But it’s a know your audience thing.
