Zoom doesn't allow me to run a virtual background from my one year old PC for some reason. Go fork yourself.

Wear a suit and turn on a virtual background of something professional. I too sit on virtual panels and think anything less is unprofessional. My background is a corporate one. I expect my interviewees to be in a home study or with a virtual background of some kind.

Set your computer to have the Max Headroom background effect.

This is the way to go.

Agree pay attention to background and lighting. Nothing too harsh or distracting. Try to minimize screen reflection on your eyeglasses if you wear them. I have trouble with this last one.

I wear what I would wear in-person. It helps me feel professional and I take this interview seriously.

Not to digress, but make sure your computer angle is set correctly. Nothing worse than the main-angle is up your nose .

Heh! I was wondering if someone would say that. Until the interviewer asks the potential hire to stand up and give them a twirl, then it could get awkward!

Have one today and trying to decide what to wear. On previous ones I’ve (F) worn a blazer like this: https://www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/veronica-beard-alessia-collarless-braid-trim-jacket but in a tan color

Is that the best thing I can wear or would you recommend something else?

Clearly Im nervous about this one. I really want this job… (and yes I know what I wear doesn’t matter nearly as much as my answers but stressing about every detail here!)
