Thanks for the rec! DS has ok reading comprehension. Writing has been more of an issue ( organizing his thoughts and planning out larger assignments ). DS is sometimes too literal with texts and can’t dig deep with reading assignments like some peers.

Hi, does anyone have recs for a math tutor for one on one sessions starting asap? (Preferably virtual) DS is in middle school and is really having a hard time with his summer math. He seems to have a complete block on word problems and no matter how many times or ways I try to explain them he just does.not.get.it.

Also they seem to be giving algebra homework without a clear foundation and this is a big stressor.

DS is incredibly quick with numbers and otherwise enjoys math. If anyone has found anything online I’m willing to try that too.
