We always have overnight guests, and I’m wondering what DCUM folks think of this plan:
Breakfast (whenever you wake up):
Hard boiled eggs
Muffins
Fruit salad
Yogurt/granola
Generally available: Charcuterie board
Appetizers (maybe at noon or 1 p.m. if we eat the dinner at 3? Or at 2 p.m. if we eat at 5?)
Spinach/artichoke dip with vegetables and with crackers/baguette for dipping
Stuffed mushrooms
Something frozen from Trader Joe’s that looks appealing
Then dinner at either 3 or 5, a very traditional spread; desserts likely about an hour after the end of dinner (we typically do some clean-up first)
I usually do an egg bake for breakfast. I would add cheese and crackers to the apps if there are kids.
