Cabin air filter you can do yourself after learning about it on YouTube.

If you use one pedal driving you will be able to go a very long time before replacing brakes.

It is just like any other outlet. Get the windshield insurance. All EV windshields get rock breaks for some reason.

I've had mine for 5 years now. I take it for safety inspections (legally required) and do tire checks. I replaced a cabin air filter myself. I had to replace the windshield but that was due to a rock on the road and not to do with it being an EV.

My charger is still working fine with no major maintenance.

Dealers are reportedly worried that reduced maintenance on EV's will impact their service business. But they regularly recommend extra maintenance, not manufacturer-mandated, for gas cars. I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for EV's in order to preserve their revenue stream.

You don’t need to do maintenance related to gas engine and transmission, which is basically oil changes and transmission fluid changes. You will need to do everything else, brakes, tires, suspension, etc. Tire rotation is $20, change cabin filter is another $20. You can skip both if you want, not critical

Less maintenance doesn’t mean no maintenance.

If you have an EV, what maintenance do you do? I just got one (not a Tesla), and the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule still has recommended visits for tire rotation, changing the air filter, and multipoint inspections. Do your cars have similar? Are you actually doing them? What is the cost? I thought EVs were basically maintenance free.
