This is true. I saw it at a conference a few years ago now (when it was pretty new) and it looked so creepy I tried to get a picture of it. It's always with slim fit tapered pants and some kind of italian loafer.
It's definitely getting mainstream now. We're becoming immune, just like we did with their man-buns!

As a Western European, I don't mind that at all. It's a style I rather like! Asian men fashions are like this too. It's only in North America and Eastern Europe that they like their men at the lumberjack end of the spectrum.

Men should always wear socks unless they are at the beach or something.

Women should always wear socks with any closed shoes. It's so gross not to do that.

I'm a big fan of very low socks that don't show. I wear ballet flats with "sock liners" and you can't see the liner. So if you can't see someone's socks, please don't assume they're not there. Because of this, I don't mind not seeing socks on people, even in a formal setting. It's their wedding day - surely on this day of all days, the bride and groom can wear whatever they damn well want?!

My uncle did his third wedding without socks and that marriage was better than his other two.
