Neighbors did a “dig out” to create a basement for an old rowhome and that was roughly $100k, but just for the basement. I’m sure it’ll depend wildly on house size etc.

What is the ballpark cost (per sq ft or otherwise) for building a doubly attached row house in DC where there is no obligation to keep the facade. Perhaps with a basement dig out to enhance ceiling height.
