Not OP, I'm also someone without a lot of strength, but I don't yell at them and berate them. Sometimes I might even call.it into the police nonemergency line so if a cop.if available they may be able to come help.

I’m really sorry! I would’ve stopped if I had seen. I had something similar happen to me when one of my kids was a baby on a nearly hundred degree day. I was frantic trying to figure out what was going on and call a tow and deal with the baby, who was melting down in the heat. I wasn’t holding up traffic or anything so people weren’t actively mean but there were several people who walked past and barely glanced at me (particularly several different young men), though I was clearly in the middle of crisis. A young woman and an older couple ended up stopping and offering to help and we got a tow. I was so grateful to them.

I’ve stopped myself to help people before and so was pretty shocked by pretty young, able-bodied people actively ignoring me. People can really suck.

yes. Hundreds of cars passed by. Only 2 people tried to help. And this was after I was after I was pushed to the side of the road. Waiting in a car with no power means no ac and no ability to charge your phone.

Look, the firemen stopped and helped you. You're looking at a half empty glass, not a half full glass.

I was literally trying to push and steer the car. I was physically outside the car with my driver door open. It was very obvious there was an issue.

People do indeed suck. These are the same people who block intersections and weave in and out of traffic.

But were you out there signaling for people to go around? Was your hood up? Did you even try? Or were you just sitting in your car, just chilling on your phone waiting for a tow truck?

I feel like this is just a greater trend of people becoming incompetent and not even making the slightest effort.

I'm sorry, OP. People suck.

My car literally died at a red light. Apparently my car battery is leaking acid/died prematurely and a new one was needed. It wasn’t getting charged while driving. I didn’t know this when I left the house. I tried putting the car in neutral and pushing it to the shoulder but couldn’t physically do it. I’m a 5’2” woman and I weight 120 pounds. I simply couldn’t push it myself and steer the car safely. People whizzed by me honking and screaming. Clearly I am not sitting here and trying to push this car by myself for no reason. One guy yelled at me “this ain’t a parking lot, you can’t park there”. Seriously? I got very lucky and a firetruck with 3 firefighters passed by and helped me push the car to the shoulder and held traffic for me. I had to wait 90 minutes for a tow truck and only 2 people stopped to ask if I needed help. I understand I am owed nothing but I can’t believe how I was treated. I feel like this is just a greater trend of people becoming ruder and community disappearing.
