I thought it was called Costal Grandma and it was a Nancy Meyers' movie set. Rich people in Santa Barbara and Santa Monica aesthetic.

Yup. My parents have boxes and boxes of crap at their house, some still in boxes from when they moved in 10 years ago. They refuse to do anything with any of it. I already have 1800JUNK programmed into my phone for when it's time for ME to deal with it. What a legacy to leave behind.

If it doesn't belong to you, you consider it crap. What's accumulated in your hovel?

I’m a true boomer. I try to use a cozy aesthetic with a somewhat curated look but also warm cookie in the oven feel. I will use a lace doily when I serve the cookies.

Grandma is the style of the boomer's mothers (the grandmothers of Gen X). All lace doilies and such, sort of like cottage core.

I haven't heard of boomer core before. Boomers were decorating homes mostly in the 60's - 80's, so I'm not sure which decade that would draw from.

I think it's homey, floral, crochet, home cooking, comfortable chairs, colorful wallpaper.

What is boomer core? Like 80s mauve and light wood?

What’s the difference? Can you be both? Why are we boxing up Grandma?
